Welcome to Marketplace. By accessing our platform, you agree to comply with our local commerce guidelines, safety protocols, and seller-buyer transparency rules.
2. Local Transactions
We are a classifieds marketplace. Buyers and sellers are responsible for verifying the item, price, condition, and pickup details before payment. Marketplace does not act as the seller and does not process or guarantee shipping for individual listings.
3. Content Integrity
We reserve the right to remove any listing that is illegal, misleading, or violates applicable marketplace policies and Google merchant requirements.
1. Data Collection & Purpose
Via Google Sign-In, we collect your name, email, and profile picture to create a secure account. We store your listings and images in Firebase so they can be shown to other users in the marketplace.
2. Location Transparency
We access your device location only while the app is active to help you find nearby deals. We do not track location in the background. You can manage permissions in your browser or device settings.
3. Data Sharing & Security
We do not sell personal data. Information is protected with HTTPS and is shared only with service providers such as Firebase and Google for essential app features and analytics.
4. Account Deletion
You have the right to delete your data. To request permanent deletion of your account and associated ads, email us at info@marketplace-bazaar.com. We process requests within 48 hours.
5. Children's Privacy
Marketplace is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.
Delivery & Collection Policy
Business model: Marketplace connects local buyers and sellers in India. We do not store, own, or ship most products listed on the platform; delivery or handover is arranged directly between the buyer and seller.
Delivery method: Most items are exchanged in person at a nearby public location. For retail or showroom inventory, local pickup is typically arranged within 24 hours.
Shipping costs: Since many transactions are local handovers, there is no shipping fee charged by Marketplace. Any transport costs are arranged directly between the parties involved.
Delivery estimate: Handover normally happens after inspection and payment are completed. For partner retail products, the buyer is notified of the pickup time once availability is confirmed.
Buyer protection: All transactions are subject to Indian marketplace rules and local consumer protections. Marketplace is not responsible for logistics delays caused by third-party transport or seller arrangements.
Return & Refund Policy
Marketplace is a platform for local classifieds and retail listings in India. Return and refund rights depend on the item category and the type of transaction.
1. Standard Retail Products (7-Day Return)
For new electronics, fashion, and general retail items, buyers can request a return within 7 days of handover if the product is defective or materially not as described. The item must be returned in original condition.
2. Second-Hand Goods & Local Classifieds (1-Day Window)
For pre-owned goods sold through classifieds, buyers must inspect the item at the meetup. After purchase, there is a 24-hour window to request a return only for hidden defects that were not disclosed by the seller.
3. Vehicles, Real Estate, Services, Taxi & Job Listings (0 Days)
No returns are accepted (0 days) for property rentals, used vehicles, labour bookings, taxi services, and job postings. Such listings are final once the transaction is completed or the service is booked.
Disputes for these categories should be raised through support and resolved between the buyer and seller. Marketplace may suspend listings or accounts for policy violations.
Seller Code of Conduct
All sellers on Marketplace must act honestly and transparently. Accurate listing information and clear pricing are required for every ad.
- Describe item condition truthfully and disclose any damage or defects.
- Use the correct category and provide complete product details.
- Provide valid contact information and meet buyers at a safe local location.
- Honor agreed appointment times and be available for buyer inspection prior to payment.
- Accept returns or refunds only within the policy windows stated above and communicate clearly if a request is made.
Failure to follow this code may result in listing removal, account restrictions, or suspension.

- Meet in public, well-lit areas (e.g., markets or malls).
- Never send money online before seeing the item.
- Inspect electronics and vehicles thoroughly before paying.
- Bring a friend with you for high-value meetups.
